Recent News Rock, Roll and Run for Autism Awareness!

Whether it's a Rock Concert, a Yoga or Zumba class or a 5K Race, there are lots of activities for you and your family to support HeartShare's programs that combat autism.

The fun kicks off on Saturday, April 17 at 8 pm with a Rock Concert benefiting The HeartShare School for 5-21 year olds with autism spectrum disorders. Holy Grail, featuring Harry DeMeo, Jim Cronin, Richie Rollo, and Robert LaSalle, will rock out at St. Patrick School Auditorium in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Admission is only $20 and includes refreshments. To purchase tickets call (718) 422-3213 or (718) 745-0623 ext. 101.

If you are more into exercise, then Harbor Fitness is the place for you! Harbor is hosting a large variety of classes (Yoga, Zumba, Spin, Tae Kwon Do, and more) during the week of April 18 at its Bay Ridge and Park Slope locations. Members are asked to donate $5 per class to HeartShare. Non-members are welcome to join the classes for a daily $20 fee, all of which goes to HeartShare.

The Harbor Fitness fun wraps up with a 5K Race to Combat Autism in Bay Ridge on Sunday, April 25 at 10:30 am. Registration for the Race is $15 before April 25 and $20 on race day. Children's activities begin at 9 am and end with a Pee Wee Race at 10 am.

All proceeds from Harbor Fitness' week-long events benefit HeartShare's programs for children and adults with autism and their families.
