Recent News Bollmann Family Residence Dedication

On Saturday, June 27, 2009, HeartShare formally dedicated the Bollmann Family Residence, a group home for adults with developmental disabilities. Formerly known as the Clermont Residence, this group home opened in 1978 and was HeartShare's first Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF).

For over 20 years, the Jim Buckley family and and the Rich Bollmann family have personified the Buckley's - Kennedy's Chrity Run benefiting HeartShare--Jim Buckley as the major sponsor and Rich Bollmann as the "chief" volunteer. Through their efforts, and tht of their family and friends, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that enable HeartShare to be the premiere human services agency meeting the needs of over 20,000 at-risk children, adults and families.

In December 2008, Rich Bollmann established "Bobby's House" on the grounds of the residence a tribute to his son who passed away. It serves as a beautiful solarium so the residents may enjoy the outdoors in a safe and dignified manner. At that times, it became obvious that the Clermont Residence, after 30 years, had found its namesake and should be known as the Bollmann Family Residence.

The Bollmann Family Residence represents a genuine and appropriate reflection of those in whose honor it is named--it is filled with love and care. HeartShare could not be more grateful that the Bollmann family has chosen to associate itself with HeartShare and its mission.
