Our Programs: Family Support Services

HeartShare offers a variety of valuable services to families caring for an individual with developmental disabilities. Caring for a relative at home is rewarding, but challenging. We help families handle the day-to-day demands of meeting their family member's needs. Our goal is to make parent's and sibling's jobs a little easier. Our staff value the relationships developed with our participants and promote active community involvement.

In 2011, HeartShare opened the SPA (Serving People with Autism) Overnight Respite Program. This respite home serves individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside at home and are 7 years of age or older. SPA Overnight Respite is located in Staten Island and has respite opportunities year-round. For more information, please contact Joyce Levin at (718) 422-3268.
