HeartShare Human Services of New York

HeartShare offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in their own home in the community. The size, style and support services vary at each location.

Whether it's a group home for two to eight people or a supported apartment for one or two people, the residents are able to make it their home.

Located throughout Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, HeartShare has 26 group homes and 26 supported apartments.

Within these residences, adults learn important skills such as cooking, doing their laundry, and budgeting to increase their level of independence. Involvement in community activities is also a major component.

As HeartShare continues to open new homes, more adults will be able to live their lives to their fullest potential and experience all that is available to them.
