An ecosystem of support for children, youth, and families dealing with the trauma related to family separation, poverty & mental health conditions.
150 years of family
For over 150 years (read about our history here), our focus has been centered around the idea of family. Unfortunately, for many of those we support, the idea has been damaged. Family has come to represent something negative, something that has let them down, something that is painful. So we step in to help children, youth and, adults heal — and then help them rewrite their definition, so that they can own it and use it as a strength moving forward.
AN EVER-GROWING COMMUNITY
St. Vincent’s Family Services meets New Yorkers where they are, leading with acceptance, empathy, belief, and community. The agency has stepped in during moments when society has often looked the other way.
We have continued to build trust and deliver on our mission — and as a result, we continue to grow and expand to meet the needs of New York City.

A MISSION-DRIVEN APPROACH
Heartshare fights to remove obstacles, strengthen resilience, and allow for greater self-belief and independence.
We begin by promoting health and well-being — mental, physical, and medical — through clinics, clinicians, and managed care. We create stability for both youth and families via a wide range of housing solutions and community programming. And we unlock futures through evidence-based educational and employment programming — coaching, peer-to-peer networking, and access to opportunities.
an interconnected ecosystem
We strive to connect all that we do. Through sustained relationships—with coaches, mentors, and therapists —we build continuity. Beyond this human support, we have come to realize that organizational continuity is crucial. It’s our job to remain constant and unwavering. Explore our programs and how they connect below.
Programs & Services
A range of supports built around the support one requires.
Our youth face unimaginable obstacles throughout their lives. By the time we are introduced to them, they have often already been let down repeatedly — and as a result, are slow to trust.
So we build that trust — via sustained relationships with coaches, mentors, therapist and social workers.
