HeartShare Welcomes New Members To Its Board

By Lily Robinson –

HeartShare is thrilled to announce we have some new faces joining our already incredible lineup of board of directors. Our board members are an essential part of our community who share their expertise and compassion to improve the lives of New York children, adults, and families within our care.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to the newest members of the HeartShare family.

Kate Piccard

Kate Reilly Piccard is a licensed real estate professional with The Corcoran Group concentrating on residential sales and rentals since 2013. Known for her high level of customer service, this natural connector honed her skills in client relations and marketing at J.P. Morgan Chase while managing high-net-worth retail accounts, while her artistic skills were sharpened in her “side” career as a custom cake creator at Kate’s Kakery.

Originally from Connecticut, Kate was raised in a large Christian family who made room in their home and hearts for various foster children, young, single mothers and many others in need of assistance over the years. After graduating from Fordham University, Kate moved to Brooklyn with her husband, John, a fellow Fordham Ram and native Brooklynite. She raised her three children in this beloved borough and has continued her family’s traditions of service to others in new ways.

Believing that “community service” and “sales and service” go hand in hand, Kate has long been committed to causes in and around Brooklyn. She is the Director of Community Outreach for SFX Youth Sports, a Brooklyn-based all-volunteer youth sports program and is an annual coat, toy and general donation drive co-chair for various Brooklyn and Long Island based schools and charities. In addition, for 20+ years, Kate has been an avid “food-and-fundraiser” for the local CHIPS Food Pantry in Park Slope. She is also a former leader of the Berkeley Carroll Middle School Parent Association.

Kate is now thrilled to begin her newest role on the board of Heartshare Human Services of NYC. Her three grown children have advocated for citizens with disabilities for many years and now Kate feels that it is her time to continue this service.

Julia Solazzo

Julia Solazzo is the vice president, head of America’s marketing for Prologis, Inc., the global leader in logistics real estate. Prologis develops, manages, and leases modern logistics facilities to a diverse base of approximately 6,700 customers principally across two major categories: business-to-business and retail/online fulfillment. Prior to Prologis, Julia worked in marketing and communications at a privately owned asset-management firm. She is an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), as such she is involved in the Developing Leaders for the New Jersey chapter as well as their national conference planning committee. Julia graduated from Penn State University.
