Helping people reach their potential.

HeartShare and its Family of Services have over 100 programs in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island to achieve that mission, reaching nearly 35,000 New Yorkers annually. HeartShare Human Services and The HeartShare School encourage greater independence for children and adults with intellectual disabilities through residential, educational, health care, employment, life skills and case management, as well as recreational programs. HeartShare Wellness connects people with chronic conditions to medical and related resources to improve quality of life. HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS) empowers children, adults and families to overcome the challenges of family crises, addiction, mental illness and poverty.

Encouraging People with Disabilities To Direct their Own Lives

HeartShare’s Developmental Disabilities Services nurture and empower children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy. From early childhood to adulthood, HeartShare supports people with disabilities to get a sound education and lead happy and fulfilling lives in the community.
